Wrong.

July 20th, 2008 - No Responses

How can so much go so wrong in just one summer? This is not a blog where I will complain about my problems - thats the last thing I want to do.  I may have lost a lot of precious time and opportunities with people I love but I will say that this horrible summer has been an opportunity to learn. Think before you act. Make decisions on your own. Experience things as long as you know they are only going to produce positive outcomes.

If only I had put those to use at the beginning of this summer things would be much different now. These are all things I have heard before. They are things I have taught before, yet for a period I neglected to use them in my own personal life. In return, I suffered the consequences. Flowery wording and nice vocabulary will never hide what went wrong Im just excited for the opportunity to improve myself next time I run into some of these situations.

I love all of you. I want what is best for all of us. Please, please, please think before you act.

ps - you’re never too cool to say I love you.

CHANGE.

They say I gotta change my evil ways
And I’m working hard at it every day but
No matter what I do
I seem to make the same mistakes that I’m trying not to
If love is just a game that people play
And practice make perfect is what they say but
No matter what I do
I seem to make the same mistakes that I’m trying not to

Blog Roll: WHO ARE THEY!?!

July 8th, 2008 - One Response

Andrew Packer: Is a new addition to my blog roll. He can be an interesting read and has had some pretty interesting life experiences.

Andy Craine: I met Andy at the Florida Sea Base last summer when we spent a week sailing in the Florida Keys. He is definitely a cool guy and is just starting to dabble in blogging.

Ben Stilwill: Is a very close friend and currently serves as the National Vice Chief of the Order of the Arrow (some fancy service group, I wouldn’t know much about them). He is definitely a very smart guy and has a bright future ahead of him.

Brandin Grams: worked very closely with me in the OA. Through our work together we have become very close friends. Brandin is a computer genius.

Chad Wolver: Was the 2007 Western Region Chief (while I was national chief)! He wants to join the Peace Corps - should be some interesting stories there!

Drew Dougherty: Is definitely a very profound individual who I have immense respect for. I am blessed to have him as a friend.

Jack Chinn: is a good friend who is focusing his college career on music. I hope to work with Jack on some music projects in the future.

Jake Wellman: Is the 2008 National Chief of the Order of the Arrow. This is the punk who took my job… and I couldn’t be happier. Jake has been doing a phenomenal job as chief.

Jeremy Yamaguchi: Not only is Jeremy the current Order of the Arrow W4B Section Chief but he is also a skilled audo/visual tech. He really knows his stuff!

Kieran Thompson: was the 2006 Western Region Chief, now he is an aspiring film director with huge amount of potential. Check out his upcoming film “Caleb Couldn’t Love” (which I’m assisting with the production)

Law In The First: The identity of this blogger shall remain anonymous - but you will find that he provides quite an entertaining/detailed insight into the first year of law school.

Mark Steyn: Is a writer for newspapers worldwide and does quite a phenomenal job too.

Muxtape: Occasionally I will upload music to this link for you to check out and enjoy!

Professor Derek Reeve: Is probably the best Political Science teacher at Saddleback College. He is a good friend and mentor - I appreciate his kindness, especially my sneaky shenanigans.

Ross Armstrong: was the 2005 Western Region Chief and he also goes to law school. His blog is more politics oriented though.

HelloGoodBye

June 21st, 2008 - One Response

While recovering from surgery I have been working on some pet projects - Bought www.socamu.net (working on a design for that), looking for new ways to spice up www.EvanChaffee.com, and I have been working on some music/lyrics. My source of inspiration - one of my all time favorite bands HelloGoodBye. I just can’t get enough of their music. The band and their music embodies my attitude on things (it probably makes sense being that they are from Orange County). Obviously I’m looking forward to their new CD coming out sometime this year.

Love. Have Fun. & Chill.

PS - Im totally bummed I’m missing Warped Tour this summer. Again.

PSS - surgery sucks, avoid it if you can (I’m full of obvious statements)

Just don’t do it - be completely prepared for parenting (loving household, fiscally sound, etc).
